Enrolling your MacBook

Prerequisites

Before beginning enrollment, please ensure that the following prerequisites are satisfied:

• MacBook is powered on and connected to the internet
• A backup has been made of your MacBook
• You have access to the admin-level password of the device

Enrollment

1. On your MacBook, open a web browser and navigate to https://hawaiidoeosssalpss.jamfcloud.com/enroll.
2. In the Network ID field, enter: 40548956
   • Leave the managed Apple ID field blank, even if you have a managed ID and are currently signed in.
3. When prompted for a Location Code, enter the corresponding location code for your school. See the table below. Do note that complex areas are different from school locations. If your complex area is listed, please check for your school's program first.

4. Click Enroll.
5. A file will begin downloading. If it doesn't open automatically, click it to open.
6. When prompted to install the profile to your device, click Install.
7. Click Install again to begin the installation.

Frequently Asked Questions

What will change when I enroll my device?

If you're a teacher, absolutely nothing. It'll be the same device you know, but with ALPSS under the hood doing the tedious tasks for you.

Can I remove the profile from my device?

Because your device is the property of the Alternative Learning Program, no.

Will the Alternative Learning Program be able to track my location if my device is enrolled?

Because MacBooks lack any GPS capabilities, we do not track precise locations.

What will happen to the data stored on my MacBook?

Nothing. But with good etiquette, it's always good to take regular backups in case the unusual happens.

Why wasn't my MacBook enrolled before it was sent to me?

With the introduction of iPads to our programs, we have vastly expanded our infrastructure to accommodate new devices and technologies. If you got your device before this, we could not enroll your device for you.
